医学英语对话：Anaemia （贫血）：

Patient： I have felt weak recently. These last few days I've felt worse. I don't know what is the matter with me.

我最近觉得乏力。这几天更重。我不知道出了什么问题。

Doctor： You look very pale. I'll give you a thorough check-up.

你看起来很苍白。我给你详细检查一下。

Now， first of all， I would like to have a detailed history. How long have you felt sick？

现在，首先我想知道详细的病史。你病了多久了？

P： I'm not quite certain. I've been feeling fatigued （ tired ） for a year or so.

D： Any other complaints？ How is your appetite？

P： My appetite's all right. I just feel tired. My legs are so weak sometimes， I can't even climb the stairs. Occasionally， I feel short of breath and giddy.

D： How are your periods？ Are they very heavy？

P： Usually they last about a week. They seem heavy. Sometimes there are clots. During my period， I feel a lot of pain.

D： I want you to have a blood test now and I'll wait for the result.

According to the blood test， you are suffering from an iron deficiency anaemia， probably due to your heavy periods.

P： What should I do？

D： I am going to prescribe some iron tablets for you， which should be taken after meals or they will spoil your appetite. Then I would like you to see a gynecologist. We'll make an appoint. ment for next Tuesday at 8：00 A.M.
